James 4:13-17

This week Eleanor, McKenna, Jenna, Andrea are going to lead FCA in James 4:13-17. These are their questions for this week.

Our Will and His Will
13 Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will travel to such and such a city and spend a year there and do business and make a profit.” 14 You don’t even know what tomorrow will bring—what your life will be! For you are like smoke that appears for a little while, then vanishes.

15 Instead, you should say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.” 16 But as it is, you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. 17 So it is a sin for the person who knows to do what is good and doesn’t do it.
  1. How you ever bragged about things you have done?
  2. Why do we boast?
  3. Why do we sin when we know what we are doing is evil?
  4. What does verse 14 mean when it says,"You are like a smoke that appears for a little while?
  5. Have you ever "listned" to God to say something to do something good but done the oppisite?
  6. What is God's will.
  7. What are some things God wills opon us?
