Galatians Ch 1:1-10

Greeting1 Paul, an apostle—not from men or by man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father who raised Him from the dead— 2 and all the brothers who are with me:To the churches of Galatia.[a]3 Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord[b] Jesus Christ, 4 who gave Himself for our sins to rescue us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father. 5 To whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.No Other Gospel6 I am amazed that you are so quickly turning away from Him who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— 7 not that there is another gospel, but there are some who are troubling you and want to change the good news[c] about the Messiah. 8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel other than what we have preached to you, a curse be on him![d] 9 As we have said before, I now say again: If anyone preaches to you a gospel contrary to what you received, a curse be on him!10 For am I now trying to win the favor of people, or God? Or am I striving to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a slave of Christ.
Questions,
Q:What is important about Paul’s greeting?
A: He’s an apostle because God and Jesus Christ appointed him as an apostle not men. If men can appoint you men can fire you.  But Jesus and God appointed you, therefore his words have more value.
Q; Why does paul capitalize Him when he is writing.
A:God is way more important than other people and he is the king of everyone.
Q: What is Paul saying in verses 3 4 5.
A: Paul is restating the gospel and is telling everyone how big jesus is and since he sacrificed his life for us we owe him our lives.
Q: What do you think turned them away from the gospel.??///?///??
Q:What does paul mean by curse be on him.
A:Paul doesn’t mean a physical curse he means don’t cheat the gospel.
Q:Who is paul trying to please men or God.
A:God. He is trying to give back the grace he has received from Him.
 Summary,
Paul is writing this before he is sent to jail. He is writing this to the people of Galatia. He makes it clear that he is writing this for God and not men. He states this by saying,” Paul an apostle-not from men or by man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father who raised him from the dead.” Paul talks about the gospel. He also wants us to teach other people about his gospel and to not modify it at all. For whoever modifies it shall have a curse on them. When Paul says he is a slave of Christ he means that he is devoting his life to God because his son Jesus died for us.

 Prayer,
Dear Lord Thank you for this wonderful week we have had. Thank you for all of the people that have come to FCA to enhance their knowledge of you. Please help us do our best in giving our lives to you, because you sent your only son to die on the cross to save us from our sins. Indeed, it is as important to learn how to give a blessing as it is to be willing to receive one.
